The Remnant Awakens - I Am Not Claiming - I Am a Yahudiy: The True Identity of the Akan People

The remnant awakens

Chapter 1

Intro

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

Shalom family. This is The Remnant Awakens, and I’m your brother Pierre Lidji. I’m glad you’re here with me today, wherever you’re listening from—whether you’re in Africa, America, Europe, the islands, or somewhere in between. You know, every episode we dig a little deeper into our roots, our story, and the truth that’s been hidden from us for way too long. Today, I wanna talk about something that’s personal for me, but also for so many of you out there. We’re gonna talk about the true identity of the Akan people, and why I say, “I am not claiming—I am a Yahudiy.” So, let’s get into it.

Chapter 2

THE KINGDOM OF YAHUDAH WAS REAL

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

Alright, let’s start with something that’s been erased from most history books—old maps. I mean, if you ever get your hands on some of those maps from the 17th, 18th century, you’ll see something wild. There’s a region called Ivory Coast in West Africa which is my birth country which is also tied to Burkina Faso and Ghana, right where the Akan people are from, and it’s labeled “The Kingdom of Juda” or “Whidah” or sometimes even “Yahudah.” I’m not making this up, you can look it up for yourself. It’s not a coincidence. Why would European mapmakers call a region in West Africa “Juda”? I mean, come on, that’s not just a random name. It’s because the people living there were known as descendants of Yahudah—the same Yahudah, the fourth son of Ya’aqov, that we read about in Scripture. And, you know, this isn’t just about maps. It’s about the erasure of our story, our connection to the land, and our identity. They tried to hide it, but the truth always finds a way out.

Chapter 3

WHO ARE THE AKAN PEOPLE?

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

Now, let’s talk about the Akan people. If you don’t know, the Akan are one of the largest ethnic groups in West Africa—mainly in Ghana and Ivory Coast, but also in Togo and a few other places. And, you know, I’m Akan myself, so this hits home for me. The Akan have one of the richest oral traditions in West Africa. Our elders, our grandmothers, they pass down stories, proverbs, names, and customs that go back generations. And if you listen closely, you’ll hear echoes of the Torah, of ancient Hebrew customs—circumcision on the eighth day, purification rituals, even the way we name our children. It’s not just culture—it’s covenant. And, you know, as we talked about in the episode on the Torah, these instructions, these ways of living, they’re not just random—they’re markers of who we are.

Chapter 4

THE DESTRUCTION AND SCATTERING

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

But how did we get from Jerusalem to West Africa? That’s the question, right? In 70 AD, the Roman Empire destroyed the second Temple in Jerusalem. That was a turning point. Our ancestors fled—some went into Africa, some into Arabia, some scattered all over. And over centuries, many of those who fled into Africa settled in places like Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast—right where the Akan are today. And, you know, the transatlantic slave trade didn’t just randomly pick people from West Africa. They targeted the descendants of Yahudah, the people who kept the customs, the language, the names. That’s why so many of us ended up in the Americas, the Caribbean, scattered to the four corners. It’s not just history—it’s prophecy. And, honestly, sometimes I get emotional thinking about it, because our pain, our journey, it’s all written in the Book.

Chapter 5

PROPHECY FULFILLED IN US

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

So, let’s talk about prophecy. Deuteronomy 28—if you haven’t read it, please, go read it. It lays out the blessings and the curses of the covenant. If we obeyed, blessings. If we disobeyed, curses—including being scattered among the nations, losing our language, our names, our identity. And, man, when I read those verses, it’s like looking in a mirror. The ships, the yokes of iron, the loss of heritage—it’s all there. And yet, even in the curses, there’s hope. Because Yahuah promised that He would gather us again, that He would awaken the remnant. That’s what this podcast is about. That’s why I say, “The remnant awakens.” We’re living in the time when the truth is coming out, when the dry bones are rising, just like Ezekiel saw. And, you know, in previous episodes, we talked about how the Torah, the Names, the covenant—they’re all being restored. This is part of that restoration.

Chapter 6

MY IDENTITY IS NOT A CLAIM, IT’S A REVELATION

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

Let me say this clear for those who scoff: My identity is not a claim—it’s a revelation. I’m not out here trying to steal someone else’s story or make up a new religion. I’m just telling you what the Most High has revealed to me, and what history, prophecy, and my own bloodline confirm. I’m a Yahudiy, a descendant of Yahudah, from the Akan people. And I know some people will say, “Oh, you’re just making this up, you’re just trying to be special.” But, honestly, I don’t need to be special. I just need to be true. And if you’re listening and you feel that tug in your spirit, that sense that there’s more to your story—don’t ignore it. Ask Yahuah to show you who you are. Because, like I said before, this isn’t about pride, it’s about purpose. It’s about coming back to the covenant, to the truth, to the family.

Chapter 7

Outro

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

So, if you are from the Akan people, from the diaspora, from the scattered remnant—it’s time to awaken. It’s time to seek the Most High, to ask questions, to dig into your roots, and to walk in the truth. The remnant is awakening, and you’re part of that story. I appreciate you for listening, for being open, for searching. I’m Pierre Lidji, your brother from the tribe of Yahudah, and this is The Remnant Awakens.
