The Remnant Awakens - The So-Called Church Fathers — Wolves in Robes, Foundations of Deception

The remnant awakens

Chapter 1

Intro

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

shalom family. This is Pierre Lidji, and you’re listening to The Remnant Awakens. I’m grateful you’re here with me again—whether you’re tuning in for the first time or you’ve been walking this journey with me for a while now. You know, every episode we dig a little deeper, we challenge what we’ve been taught, and we try to get back to the roots—the real roots—of our faith. Today, I gotta warn you, we’re going to step on some toes. But, hey, truth isn’t always comfortable, right? So let’s get into it.

Chapter 2

WHO WERE THE “CHURCH FATHERS”?

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

So, let’s talk about these so-called “Church Fathers.” Who were they, really? I mean, you hear their names thrown around in church history classes, in sermons, in all these books—Augustine, Origen, Tertullian, Jerome, Ignatius, and a whole list of others. These are the guys that came after the original disciples, after the apostles had died. They weren’t walking with Yahusha. They didn’t sit at His feet. They didn’t hear His voice with their own ears. But somehow, their words became the foundation for what most people call “Christianity” today. I mean, think about that for a second. The faith that was handed down to the apostles, the faith that Yahusha Himself lived and taught, suddenly gets filtered through men who never even met Him. That’s wild to me. And, honestly, it should make us pause.

Chapter 3

WHAT DID THEY ACTUALLY TEACH?

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

Now, let’s not just get caught up in titles and fancy robes. What did these men actually teach? If you look at their writings, you’ll see a pattern. They started introducing doctrines that you just can’t find in the Torah, or in the words of Yahusha. Things like the Trinity—yeah, I know, that’s a big one. Or Sunday worship instead of the seventh-day Shabbat. Or the idea that the Torah was done away with, replaced by “grace.” And, man, don’t even get me started on the stuff about the soul going straight to heaven or hell after death. We talked about that in a previous episode, remember? The Rich Man and Lazarus—how that story’s a parable, not a literal teaching about the afterlife. These “Church Fathers” brought in Greek philosophy, Roman customs, and mixed it all up with the faith of the apostles. And then, over time, their words became law. Councils, creeds, all that. But is that the faith Yahusha gave us? Or is it something else?

Chapter 4

THEY HATED YASHAR’EL

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

Let’s just be blunt for a minute. These men—these so-called “fathers”—they had a real problem with Yashar’el, with the people of the covenant. I mean, you read their letters, their sermons, and it’s right there. They called the Hebrews “cursed,” said the promises were taken away, and basically tried to erase the identity of the chosen people. That’s not just a little bias, that’s straight-up hatred. And it’s not just history—it’s the root of a lot of the anti-Torah, anti-Hebrew stuff you see in churches today. It’s wild, but it’s true. And if you’re grafted in, if you’re part of the remnant, you gotta know where this stuff comes from. It didn’t start with Yahusha. It didn’t start with the apostles. It started with men who wanted to build something new—something Roman, something Greek, something that looked nothing like the faith of Moshe, Dawid, or Yahusha.

Chapter 5

YAHUSHA WARNED US

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

You know, Yahusha actually warned us about this. In Revelation chapter 2 verse 2, He says, “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars.” That’s heavy. He’s telling us, don’t just accept anyone who comes in His name. Test them. Look at their fruit. Are they keeping the commandments? Are they teaching what He taught? Or are they building their own thing? I mean, we talked about this before—how the real Messiah warned us that many would come in His name, but not all of them are legit. The “Church Fathers” claimed authority, but did they have the fruit? Or were they just building a new system, a new religion, on top of the old one?

Chapter 6

WHAT IS THE TRUE FOUNDATION?

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

So, what’s the real foundation? Is it Rome? Is it the councils, the creeds, the traditions? Nah. The true foundation is Yahusha Ha’Mashiach—the living Word, the Torah made flesh. It’s the covenant Yahuah made with our fathers, with Avraham, Yitzchak, and Ya’aqov. It’s the commandments, the testimonies, the faith once delivered to the saints. That’s what we’re called to return to. Not the inventions of men, not the philosophies of the Greeks or the power plays of Rome. I mean, we’ve talked about this in other episodes—how every prophet kept the Torah, how Yahusha didn’t come to start a new religion, but to restore the covenant. That’s the foundation. And if you build on anything else, it’s like building on sand. It might look good for a while, but when the storm comes, it’s gonna fall.

Chapter 7

Closing - COME OUT OF HER

Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji

So, if you’re still holding on to the teachings of these “Church Fathers,” if you’re still clinging to tradition just because it’s old, I’m telling you—let it go. Come out of her, my people. That’s what the Word says. Don’t let the robes and the titles fool you. Don’t let history intimidate you. Test everything by the Word. Return to the foundation. Return to the covenant. That’s where the remnant stands. That’s where the awakening happens. And, honestly, that’s where freedom is.
