Intro
Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji
shalom family. i'm your brother Pierre Lidji and you’re listening to The Remnant Awakens. I’m glad you’re here, whether you’re tuning in for the first time or you’ve been walking with us through this journey. You know, every episode we dig a little deeper, we get a little more uncomfortable, but that’s how you know you’re growing, right? So today, we’re talking about something that’s, honestly, it’s everywhere. It’s in the air we breathe, the music we hear, the stuff we scroll past on our phones. We’re talking about worldliness—and why loving the world will cost you the Kingdom. Let’s get into it.
Chapter 2
WHAT IS WORLDLINESS?
Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji
So, what is worldliness, really? I mean, we throw that word around a lot, but sometimes I think we don’t even stop to define it. 1 John chapter 2 verse 15 to 17 says, “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him… The world is passing away, but he who does the will of Elohim remains forever.” That’s heavy. It’s not just about, like, not going to parties or not listening to certain music. It’s about your heart—what you desire, what you chase after, what you’re willing to compromise for. The world is always selling us something, but it’s all temporary. It’s all passing away. But the one who does the will of Elohim? That’s the one who lasts. That’s the one who’s got roots.
Chapter 3
YAHUSHA’S WARNING
Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji
And Yahusha, He didn’t mince words about this either. Matthew chapter 6 verse 24—He said, “You cannot serve Elohim and mammon.” You can’t have two masters. You can’t say you love the Most High but be chasing after money, status, or whatever the world says is valuable. And then in John chapter 15 verse 19, Yahusha says, “If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” That’s real. If you’re fitting in too well, if you’re too comfortable, maybe you gotta check which side you’re really on. I mean, I’m not saying you gotta be weird for the sake of being weird, but if you’re following Yahusha, there’s gonna be some friction. The world’s not gonna clap for you.
Chapter 4
THE REAL COST OF WORLDLINESS
Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji
Let’s talk about the cost, though. James chapter 4 verse 4 says, “Friendship with the world is enmity with Elohim.” That’s not just a warning, that’s a line in the sand. You can’t be best friends with the world and expect to be close to the Father. It’s like, you ever try to walk in two directions at once? You end up going nowhere, or you just split yourself in half. The world will always ask you to compromise, to bend a little, to just go along. But every time you do, you’re putting distance between you and the Most High. That’s the real cost. It’s not just missing out on blessings—it’s missing out on relationship, on purpose, on the Kingdom itself.
Chapter 5
MODERN EXAMPLES OF WORLDLINESS
Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji
Now, let’s get practical. What does worldliness look like today? I mean, it’s not just golden calves and pagan temples anymore. It’s fashion—where immodesty is praised and lust is literally monetized. It’s social media, where pride and vanity are the currency, and everybody’s building a false identity, a highlight reel that’s not even real. The Christian music industry? Man, don’t get me started. It’s full of wolves in skinny jeans, selling you a vibe instead of truth. Entertainment? It normalizes witchcraft, fornication, violence—stuff that used to be shameful is now just “content.” And then you got prosperity preaching, where covetousness is dressed up as faith, and nobody’s content, everybody’s chasing the next blessing. It’s wild. And honestly, as we talked about in that episode on fake revival, a lot of this stuff looks spiritual on the outside, but it’s empty. It’s just hype.
Chapter 6
EXAMPLES IN SCRIPTURE
Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji
But this isn’t new. The Scriptures are full of people who lost everything because they loved the world. Demas—he was rolling with Paul, doing the work, but 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 10 says he left “having loved this present world.” Lot’s wife—she looked back at Sodom, couldn’t let go, and she became a pillar of salt. Genesis chapter 19, you can check it. The rich young ruler—he came to Yahusha, wanted eternal life, but when Yahusha told him to let go of his wealth, he walked away sorrowful. Mark chapter 10 verse 17 to 22. It’s the same story, over and over. The world offers you something shiny, but it always costs you more than you think.
Chapter 7
THE CALL TO COME OUT
Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji
So what’s the call? Revelation chapter 18 verse 4 says, “Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and receive of her plagues.” That’s not just a suggestion, that’s a command. Come out. Don’t play with Babylon, don’t flirt with compromise. You can’t hold hands with the world and expect to walk in the Ruach. It’s like, you gotta choose—are you gonna be set apart, or are you gonna blend in? And yeah, it’s hard. Sometimes it means losing friends, missing out on opportunities, being misunderstood. But that’s the cost of following Yahusha. That’s the cost of being the remnant.
Chapter 8
CLOSING TRUTH
Pierre Alexandre Nissi Lidji
Here’s the truth, family—worldliness is not freedom. It’s slavery, but it’s dressed up as self-expression, as “living your best life.” But you can’t walk in the Ruach while holding hands with Babylon. You can’t have both. The world will promise you everything, but it’ll leave you empty. Only the Most High can fill you, only His Kingdom lasts. So don’t settle for the counterfeit. Don’t trade your inheritance for a bowl of soup, like Esau did. Don’t let the world define you. Let the Word define you.
Chapter 9
